Welcome to our website. We hope you find it informative and enjoy looking at the ways our children and staff 'Let their Lights Shine'.
Southam St James Church of England Academy is a one form entry school with a vibrant, family atmosphere. We have seven classes catering for children from Reception through to Year 6, ages 4-11 and we are very proud of all that we do.
We believe that every child is unique and each individual has the right to be supported to be the very best they can be. It is our great privilege to work with a team of talented professionals and a dedicated governing body who all share this view.
Our pupils enjoy rising to a challenge and know that they share the responsibility to make our school a great place to learn. They work hard to meet targets and make progress. Learning is fun at St James! Special events including a Shakespeare half-term focus, Faith Week, visits to church and other places of worship along with a wide variety of school trips add an extra dimension to learning. We welcome parental involvement and firmly believe that children benefit from a good working relationship between parents and school staff.
While we promote Christian values and maintain strong links with the parish churches of St James, Southam and All Saints, Ladbroke, we welcome families of all faiths or no faith into our school. Our pupils are considerate and respectful towards one another.
Our website gives only a taste of what is special about St James. If you are interested in finding out more, please make an appointment to visit us. We are very proud of our school and would be delighted to show you around.
